DOGS MARKED ADOPTED ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. If all dogs are marked Adopted, we don't have any available right now, but we want you to see the types of dogs we get. We tend to get dogs in batches and then it takes a month or two to get everyone adopted and trained before we get the next batch of dogs, so check back if you don't see any currently available dogs.

Foxy, also called Samantha
Foxy is a young adult, spayed female, weighing 9 pounds. Incredibly sweet temperment with adults, kids and other small dogs. She had a severe injury to her back leg - and was still good natured and affectionate. We have amputated the damaged leg. She is now ready to be a great companion pet, happy, friendly member of your household! And gets around just fine. Now all healthy, arrives June 2nd for adoption.

Charlie missed some socialization when he was a puppy: so he is not good interacting with other dogs, and is shy with strangers. He is affectionate and loving with his owner. He wants a quiet, adult household.No children. He loves to run and sniff in the yard when you are busy. Playful, but settles nicely.

Charlie Brown, 11 pound, neutered male, 10 years old. Charlie Brown is the sweetest, nicest companion. Housebroken, crate trained. He had one family his entire life, and then was left at the shelter. He is beautifully trained. Loves car rides, and laps. Good with cats and other small dogs, and kids. No exercise need. OK if you work. Happy, perky, good natured, sweet, loving, non-demanding, mellow. He has a heart murmer, so will not live a long, long life, but will be the most delightful companion you've ever known.

Sparky is a 3 year old, neutered, male 5 lb. applehead Chihuahua. A bit timid, but non- reactive with strangers, loving and affectionate with family and friends. Not a barker. Good with other small dogs. Loves car rides and laps. Loves walks and playing in the yard. OK if you work. Cuddly, affectionate companion. Loves to sniff in the yard, and run around the house, and play with other small dogs. Entertains himself when you are busy. Happy to cuddle when you relax.

Hansel is a 8 month old ,10 lb neutered, male (floppy ears, cream coat); Gretel is a 8 month old, 9 pound, spayed female (semi;floppy ears, white coat). Dachshund mix. Their bodies are total dachshund, but they have a terrier look to their face.
Both are very puppyish energy, active and playful. Not predatory with cats but wil probably try to play with them.They like other small dogs., and are very playful with other dogs. OK with older children.These dogs will be adopted separately.

Mikie is a 2 year old, 15 pound, neutered male, wire-haired terrier mix with a nonshed coat. Sweet, friendly, affectionate, playful. Good with other dogs. OK with kids. Mikie is the mellow, relaxed of the two. Mikie and Callie are littermates, and have been raised together. Twice when they were seperated, they were despondant. So we are adopting them out together. This is a perfect situation for someone who works fulltime - they can keep each other company - or enjoys seeing dogs play and be together who love each other. They provide great companionship for each other when you are busy.

Renzo is a 1 yr old, neutered, male poodle with a nonshed coat, weighing 12 pounds. He is great with other dogs, sweet and affectionate with people.Very loving. A real lap dog. Renzo is blind, but there is no eye illness or further care of eyes needed. When we pick a special needs dog, it is because the temperment is so exceptional. Blind dogs cope beautifully, once you show them where the food and water is, and don't move the furniture! In fact, most people who encounter them, don't notice from their behavior that they can't see. Dogs see the world through their nose, so loss of site does not slow them down.
